Invited Short Course - Particle Transport Methods by Prof. Haghighat, Sponsored by UFRGS.

Prof. Haghighat conducted a short course on particle transport methods and VT3G's methodologies and codes for PhD students and faculty of the Applied Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering of the Federal University of Rio Grande du Sul, Brazil. Attached is agenda for this visit and short course.
Additionally, Prof. Haghighat served on the PhD preliminary exam of Karine Rui, PhD candidate. The title of her PhD dissertation is 'Spectro-Nodal Solutions for Two-Dimensional Radiation Problems in Arbitrary Degree of Anisotropy Media,' and her supervisor is Prof. Liliane Basso Barichello. Prof. Barichello organized this visit and the short course, and Prof. Haghighat's trip was sponsored by the the Applied Mathematics Institute and Mechanical Engineering Department of UFRGS.
