International Workshop on US-Ukraine Cooperation on Education in Advanced Nuclear Science and Engineering (August 8-9, 2019, George Washington University and Virginia Tech Campuses)

This invitation-only workshop * aims to discuss collaborative efforts between Ukrainian and US universities and research institutions in education of the next-generation workforce in the developing fields of nuclear science and nuclear engineering. This two-day workshop will be held on GWU and VT campuses. The workshop will bring together leadership of universities, research labs and industry. A joint memorandum on formation of a US-Ukraine network on nuclear education and research is anticipated as one of the outcomes of the workshop.

  • The workshop is organized by the George Washington University and Virginia Tech in support of a DOE funded project on the establishment of a Nuclear Education Hub (HUB) for training of Ukrainian citizens in the areas of Nuclear Science (GWU) and Nuclear Engineering (VT).
